I've made a number of different covers lately. The very last one is this book cover made for a ten year old friend of my kids. Of course it came with a book as well! Not just any book, but my daughters favorite a few years back, The Brothers Lionheart by swedish author Astrid Lindgren.
The idea is that the birthday girl can use the cover for a tablet or anything else she wants to use it for later. I also told her I can add a handle or a shoulder strap if she wants to use it as a handbag, but that idea was declined instantly and she claimed she loved it the way it was.

Roses and roses
I spent the major part of the past weekend doing the obligatory spring tidying of the garden. My roses seems to have recovered well after i cut them down last year and there are even some buds in the coming.
When my back was acing from gardening I sat down at my sewing mashine and I finally think I have worked out good sizes for my all purpose purses which I don't seem to get enough of! These two have a lining which is made from a lovely rose fabric by Robert Kaufmann.
